We are taking part in The Showcase On The Road

participació Jordi Aguilera a la Mostra On The Road

Friday, 15h of May, we had the opportunity to attend On The Road at the Igualada Leather Museum, an event dedicated to highlighting contemporary craftsmanship through audiovisual language and shared dialogue.

During the event, a selection of documentaries from the latest International Audiovisual Craftsmanship Showcase, promoted by Artesania Catalunya, was screened, including one featuring Bòbila Aguilera as one of its protagonists, Artesans del Temps.
The pieces shown offered an insight into different ways of understanding craft, the creative process, and the relationship between tradition, innovation and identity.

Following the screenings, we took part in the Open Dialogue alongside other craftspeople from the region. It was a highly enriching space for reflecting on key questions such as what it means to be a craftsperson in Anoia today, how day-to-day life within each craft is built, what relationship is established with the territory, and how this practice is projected beyond it.

The conversation highlighted the importance of creating meeting spaces between professionals, institutions and the public, as well as the need to continue giving visibility to craftsmanship as a living, rooted activity with the ability to engage with the present.

A wonderful shared experience, for which we once again thank Som Artisania for thinking of us and for helping to create these spaces of connection around craft, culture and territory.

Onwards!
